  • Greek Vine Leaves, Hand-picked Soultanina variety Vineleaves, Main ingredient to Dolmades the famous Mediterranean dish, Drained Weight 950gr,  Glass jar:

The vineyards of the Diamantis family, are located in Naoussa, in B. Greece. There, in an area of 100 acres of completed certified production, high quality wines are being produced, the Soultanina variety.

Every year, from mid-May to mid-June, the vineyards of Greece are filled with people, although the grapes are not yet ready and it is not the season of harvest. It's the time to gather the grape leaves, the key ingredient for one of the most famous traditional dishes, the dolmades.

Choosing only from the upper part of the plant, where the leaves are much more tender, is being made by hand from experienced staff, who, with great care, love, and passion for this unique product, only chooses large, well-shaped and tenderly sheets. Carefully and rapidly they are being transferred to our contemporary, quality certified facilities so our professional staff to make a second more detailed screening. The stems are being removed and then the leaves are being put in jars with brine, which starts the process of pasteurization. The whole process only lasts a few hours and this ensures the proper maintenance of the leaves until they reach your kitchen and the preservation of all the nutrients of the meager vine leaf.

Their nutritional value is very high. Like all leafy vegetables, they have very few calories, 93 per 100 gr of vine leaves, and are a good source of vitamins (especially A), rich in fiber, antioxidants, and omega 3 fatty acids which are contained. Vine leaves from Biological vineyards ''Elinos'' do not require boiling or scalding. Each jar contains about 80 leaves.

Choose our Greek organic vine leaves and give to you and your family, a uniquely traditional flavour, dolmades, with rice, meat, cheese, or whatever else your imagination suggests.

Keep it in a cool and dry place. Keep refrigerated after opening.
